The Bainbridge Decatur County YMCA opened its doors June 20, 1986 thanks to land donated in memory of Reuben Reynolds and construction funds donated in memory of Ben and Ethel Kirbo. The fundraising team for the project was headed up by the late Raymond Miles, who continued his dedication to the YMCA for more than 2 decades. The Kirbo, Miles and Reynolds families have sustained their support through the years by adding a child care building, tennis courts and numerous capital improvement projects.
